Versamark: the Versatile Ink

Versamark is an essential tool for every cardmaker and scrapbooker. It is on my top 10 list of must haves.... here are just some of the uses:

*Just stamp and emboss with coloured embossing powder or clear powder for a see through shine
*It is great for watermarked backgrounds, it will show as a deeper shade of the colour you stamp on, making a subtle background on any colour. For every colour of paper you own, you know have a complimentary ink :)
*Poppin' Pastels: stamp images on paper with your versamark and now dauber pastels over the image and it will cling to the versamark. It provides a soft shadowy image.
*Pulling Pastels: on darker card stock, rub pastels across page, now stamp versamark over the images and it will pull the pastels off where you versamarked!
*Use to make a shadow for your words. Stamp your original image in ink (the kaleidocolour pads look super!) now restamp the word using versamark and because you will be slightly off, you now have a watermarked shadow. Take it one step further and emboss it with clear or hologram embossing powder.
*Brayered resist: stamp the image on cardstock using your versamark. Leave to dry for a few minutes... now brayer your ink over the image. (again, kaleidocolour works very well!) The ink will resist the versamarked image..... This works well on matte cardstock and even better on glossy
*Versamark and 2 step stamping- stamp the first image in veramark and the second image in encore metallic ink. this looks great on burgundy and navy cardstock!
*use to create subtle lines for your journaling

I love it too...here's one more tip for you.
Lay your craft and rubber scissors over the pad & press lightly then flip & do the other side. Do this before cutting anything sticky and it won't stick to your scissors;)
