Yes, I Have Issues..

I went to my LSS today and they had 75% off on May Arts, Maya Road and other delicious ribbon. Well, I have issues so I could not resist and bought this pile of luscious lengths. Now, I may have to use some and not just hoard it..... PS they had the bras and panties from Prima and they are sooo cute that I am thinking of doing a bulk buy of them. You do not get a ton, but they are a good size and come in polka dots, lace, french script.... and well, you can never have enough primas or ribbon. if you think you may be interested in joining, email me jangeoman@shaw.ca

UHU... I love you!

So, I finally used my UHU glue runner that Maria at UHU sent me to try. If you are a blogger, you can email her for a sample. You just have to write a review once you use it. I have to say, I was very impressed with this glue runner. I go through oodles of glue runners and this is one of the best ones I have found yet. It did not get caught, break or get twisted like some of the much more costly competitors. It rolled on smoothly and evenly and held in place very well. This glue runner gets 2 thumbs up from me. Thanks again, Maria. I will definitely be buying this product again!

Versamark: the Versatile Ink

Versamark is an essential tool for every cardmaker and scrapbooker. It is on my top 10 list of must haves.... here are just some of the uses:

*Just stamp and emboss with coloured embossing powder or clear powder for a see through shine
*It is great for watermarked backgrounds, it will show as a deeper shade of the colour you stamp on, making a subtle background on any colour. For every colour of paper you own, you know have a complimentary ink :)
*Poppin' Pastels: stamp images on paper with your versamark and now dauber pastels over the image and it will cling to the versamark. It provides a soft shadowy image.
*Pulling Pastels: on darker card stock, rub pastels across page, now stamp versamark over the images and it will pull the pastels off where you versamarked!
*Use to make a shadow for your words. Stamp your original image in ink (the kaleidocolour pads look super!) now restamp the word using versamark and because you will be slightly off, you now have a watermarked shadow. Take it one step further and emboss it with clear or hologram embossing powder.
*Brayered resist: stamp the image on cardstock using your versamark. Leave to dry for a few minutes... now brayer your ink over the image. (again, kaleidocolour works very well!) The ink will resist the versamarked image..... This works well on matte cardstock and even better on glossy
*Versamark and 2 step stamping- stamp the first image in veramark and the second image in encore metallic ink. this looks great on burgundy and navy cardstock!
*use to create subtle lines for your journaling

Time to Update... Long Overdue!

hi, I know I am long overdue for an update. Sorry, but my angel, Talia has been so sick we have had to run back and forth from the clinic to the hospital so she could have treatments with an inebulizer (I am POSITIVE I am not spelling this right... Oh well...) Anyways, we are celebrating my parents' 40th Anniversary tomorrow and I made them a frame using chipboard coasters and hinges from Rhona. I used all K&Co products... Ain't it cute?

Primas- Where are They Now? (Inquiring Minds Want to Know!)

I have been so sick- like barfy sick *YUCK* that I had not updated my blog. I am getting emails from my "Swapping Sistas" inquiring as to the whereabouts of these little beauties. So, Ladies, here is the scoop~ The order was actually placed on February 8. This was ahead of some payments- I have now received all of the payments except one that was mailed last week....

The wholesaler takes 2 wks to fill and ship an order in the best of circumstances. The flowers from swap 2 are brand new as of CHA and so, they will not ship them until the beginning of March. I promise to get these out as soon as they come in and I get them bagged. In lieu of the separate bags per colour, there will be one bag per type and some extra flowers from a totally different line for the time and baggies I saved on. (I did email you all for permission and most of you responded. If you prefer to waive the extra flowers and have every thing bagged separately- email me- that is what I promised and will deliver should you wish )

I am HOPING you will have your flowers by the 2nd week in March. I will update you all and thanks for your patience!

**NOTE: if you are interested in joining us for the next round- once I am finished these.... email me and I will contact you with details when the time comes..... stampsnspice@shaw.ca

Quick Valentine's for Kindergarten Class!

I wanted to send Valentine's for my Son's Kindergarten class- and well, with a 5 month old, I don't have a ton of time. I whipped these up this afternoon. Pink ones are for the girls and red ones are for the boys. I found very small boogly eyes and used crystal effects on the hearts. Stamp sets: Wild about you and treat yourself- Images are Stampin' Up!
